Dear Customer,
We would like to inform you that cPanel recently pushed out a forced update which has caused some interruption to email services. As a result, some users may currently be unable to send emails, and in certain cases, may experience issues receiving emails.
This update has removed support for all non-SSL ports, which means older or unsecured settings will no longer connect. Fortunately, the issue can be resolved quickly by updating your mail client to use SSL ports and secure mail server settings.
Please ensure your email settings are as follows:
If you are using your own domain email (e.g., @yourdomain.co.za / .com):
Incoming & Outgoing Mail Server:
mail.yourdomainname.co.za / .com / applicable domain
If you are using a @cybersmart.co.za email address:
Incoming & Outgoing Mail Server:
mailer.cybersmart.co.za
Incoming Port:
IMAP: 993
POP3: 995
Outgoing Port (SMTP):
465
Security & Authentication:
Enable SSL/TLS as the encryption/verification method
Ensure that “Authentication Required” (or similar) is ticked/enabled
(This applies to Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, and other mail clients)
Updating these settings should restore full email functionality.
If you require any assistance, please feel free to let us know - we’re here to help.
Regards
Cybersmart
