  1. Before setting up 2FA, download and install a supported authenticator app on your mobile device:

    • Google Authenticator (Android / iOS)

    • Microsoft Authenticator (Android / iOS)

    • Authy or 1Password

    Step-by-Step Instructions

    1. Log in to cPanel.

    2. Scroll to the Security section and click Two-Factor Authentication.

    3. Click the Set Up Two-Factor Authentication button.

    4. Link your authenticator app using one of these two methods:

      • Scan QR Code: Open your authenticator app, tap the add/scan button (+), and point your phone's camera at the displayed QR code.

      • Manual Entry: If your camera cannot scan the code, manually type the Account name and Key provided on the screen into your authenticator app.

    5. In cPanel, locate the Security Code field under Step 2.

    6. Open your authenticator app, read the current six-digit code generated for cPanel, and type it into the Security Code box.

    7. Click Configure Two-Factor Authentication.

Important: Save any backup or recovery keys presented by your app in a secure location.
If you lose access to your phone or authenticator app, you will need to contact technical support to manually reset your 2FA settings.
